The American Scent Hound Association represents a
style of training for canines used in human scent
specific tracking.

ASHA was established in March of 1994 by a group of
individuals in the law enforcement establishment as well
as the private sector.  Dedicated and committed to the
proper training of two Bluetick Coonhounds, Ben and
Travis, in scent specific tracking for law enforcement
agencies, these individuals were instrumental in the
successful service record of these canine brothers.

ASHA continues to
advance and represent a style of
training which enhances the natural hunting abilities
inherent
in dogs.  With the formation of S.T.O.R.M. in
2004, Scent Trackers of the Rocky Mountains, ASHA
training has proven to be a successful style allowing the
dogs to use their senses and intelligence in tracking,
trailing and air scenting their subjects.
 Our training
includes handler and/or handlers and dog(s).

In 2009, Co-founder and lead trainer, Patricia Stogner,
was appointed an expert witness for the American Scent
Hound Association by a District Court Judge.
